Highlights 2024
In 2024, we strengthened our position in the banking sector while achieving notable growth in industries such as insurance and pensions. We successfully renewed key contracts and regained former customers, reinforcing our market presence. Our expansion into new industries proved highly successful, with strong momentum across utilities, collection services, parking, and NGOs. This growth has attracted over 300 new senders to the platform underscoring the increasing demand for secure digital communication.
The launch of new products and features has further boosted engagement and adoption, leading to increased user satisfaction and a consistently loyal user base, with over 35 million logins per month.
As stated in our annual report, e-Boks reported a revenue of DKK 201 million. The increase was in line with expectations and driven by a +40% rise in pension services and a +50% growth in utilities - clear indicators of our strategic expansion bearing fruit.

e-Wallet: Next Generation of Digital Identity

Our journey began at DTU, where we saw the need for a secure, user-friendly digital identity solution. This insight led us to develop a digital student ID card as our first minimum viable product through the DTU X-Tech program. We later recognized the need to securely store other identity documents, which prompted the development of our e-Wallet. Around the same time, we were fortunate that the EU passed eIDAS 2.0, mandating all member states to issue such wallets to citizens. Soon, our technology became the first of its kind certified by the EU's Blockchain Services Infrastructure. Due to fortunate circumstances and hard work, our innovation was honored with the 1st Prize X-Tech+ Award.
We met e-Boks at Nordic Fintech Week, where we presented our vision for a digital wallet. This meeting laid the groundwork for a strategic collaboration, combining e-Boks’ strong market presence with our cutting-edge technology.
DTU will be the first Danish institution to pilot the e-Wallet, enabling students to use digital IDs. This marks a significant milestone in building a seamless, accessible, and trustworthy digital infrastructure.
